Academic Working Group – Ukraine Association for Economy, Science and Culture
The Academic Working Group – Ukraine (AAK Ukraine), based in Munich, is dedicated to cooperation in economy, science and culture between Germany and Ukraine. It is a founding member of the DUOD.
Association for German-Ukrainian Cooperation “Feine Ukraine”
The Association for German-Ukrainian Cooperation “Feine Ukraine” in Hamburg promotes German-Ukrainian cooperation, supports Ukrainian migrants with integration and advice, and has provided extensive humanitarian aid to southern and eastern Ukraine since 2022.
Association of Ukrainians in Franconia
The Association of Ukrainians in Franconia has represented the Ukrainian community in the Franconia region since 2011. It promotes cultural dialogue, supports Ukrainian-language teaching and has provided extensive humanitarian aid since 2022 — from medical supplies to aid convoys to Ukraine.
Association of Ukrainians in Northern Germany
The Association of Ukrainians in Northern Germany e.V. in Hamburg is a central organisation of the Ukrainian diaspora in the north. It combines educational work – above all the Ukrainian Saturday School – with humanitarian aid for Ukraine, including the “UA Never Alone” project.
Children’s Aid Ukraine Rhine-Neckar for Novohrad-Volynskyi
Children’s Aid Ukraine Rhine-Neckar, based in Ludwigshafen, has fostered youth work and understanding between Germany and the Ukrainian partner town of Novohrad-Volynskyi since 2014. It organises holiday encounters for children and has provided humanitarian aid since 2022.
Friendship Knows No Borders
Friendship Knows No Borders (FkkG) is a German-Ukrainian educational initiative supporting Ukrainian teachers of German and their pupils through free online workshops, competitions and open learning materials. Since 2022 it is also involved in humanitarian aid.
German-Ukrainian Association “Ukrainians in Karlsruhe”
The association “Ukrainians in Karlsruhe” has run a Ukrainian cultural centre in Karlsruhe since 2017 and promotes cultural and educational ties between Germany and Ukraine. Since 2022 it has provided extensive humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
German-Ukrainian Dialogue
German-Ukrainian Dialogue in Augsburg has fostered a sustainable and supportive dialogue between Germany and Ukraine since 2022. Its meeting centre offers education, advice and integration services for Ukrainian refugees.
German-Ukrainian Society Heilbronn
The German-Ukrainian Society Heilbronn (founded December 2024) builds bridges between cultures. Born out of peace demonstrations, it fosters intercultural encounters, educational projects for children and aid campaigns for Ukraine.
German-Ukrainian Society Kiel
The German-Ukrainian Society Kiel has fostered cultural, social, academic and economic relations between Germany and Ukraine in Schleswig-Holstein since 1996. Since 2022 it has also been active in Ukraine aid.
German-Ukrainian Society Rhine-Neckar
The German-Ukrainian Society Rhine-Neckar (DUG), based in Heidelberg, has fostered German-Ukrainian relations since 1992 through culture, education and humanitarian aid. Central to its work is the Ukrainian Saturday school “Nascha Schkola”. It is a founding member of the DUOD.
Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organisation in Germany
Plast Ukrainian Scouting Organisation in Germany is the German branch of the world’s oldest Ukrainian scouting movement (founded 1911 in Lviv). With 15 local chapters across 9 federal states, it guides members from childhood into adulthood while nurturing Ukrainian identity.
Pro Ukraine
Pro Ukraine, based in Ratingen, is one of the oldest Ukrainian charitable organisations in North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 2003 it has supported children in Ukraine through scholarships and educational projects — with a focus since 2022 on children affected by the war.
Ukrainian Association Augsburg
The Ukrainian Association Augsburg supports people affected by the war and helps integrate Ukrainian refugees in Augsburg. It combines a Ukrainian Saturday school and library with psychosocial counselling as well as cultural and sports activities.
Ukrainian Association Frankfurt am Main
The Ukrainian Association Frankfurt am Main (founded 2006) is one of Germany’s oldest Ukrainian community organisations and a founding member of the DUOD. It runs the Saturday school “Sun in the Hands” and is active in culture, integration and humanitarian aid.
Ukrainian House
Ukrainian House, based in North Rhine-Westphalia, has supported Ukrainian migrants through cultural initiatives since 2007, building bridges between the old and new homeland. It organises exhibitions, discussions and cultural events and takes part in solidarity work for Ukraine.
Ukrainian Institute for Educational Policy
The Ukrainian Institute for Educational Policy, based in Munich, provides information on Ukraine’s political situation and carries out cultural and political education work. It hosts panel discussions and public forums and is a founding member of the DUOD.
Ukrainian Medical Association in Germany (UAMD)
The Ukrainian Medical Association in Germany (UÄVD) is one of Germany’s oldest Ukrainian professional organisations, founded in 1945/46 in the post-war Displaced Persons camps. It connects physicians, dentists and pharmacists and supports healthcare in Ukraine.
Ukrainian School Association Ridna Shkola
The Ukrainian School Association Ridna Shkola has run a Ukrainian supplementary school in Munich since 1966. It teaches children and young people the Ukrainian language, literature, history and traditions and also supports Ukrainian students. Since 1972 the association has had its own building.
Ukrainians in Aachen
The association Ukrainians in Aachen has represented the Ukrainian community in Aachen and its city region since 2022. It supports refugees with integration, nurtures Ukrainian culture, advances the town partnership with Chernihiv and provides humanitarian aid.
Ukrainian Sports and Cultural Association ST Ukraina
The Ukrainian Sport and Culture Association ST Ukraina, based in Munich, fosters sport and Ukrainian culture. It brings together young people and adults from the diaspora and from Ukraine, offers meaningful leisure activities and supports integration into German and European society.
Ukrainian Women’s Association in Germany
The Ukrainian Women’s Association in Germany has represented the interests of Ukrainian women in Germany since 1946. Active nationwide, it nurtures Ukrainian culture and social causes, works with church communities and other women’s organisations and is a founding member of the DUOD.
Ukrainian Youth Association in Germany
The Ukrainian Youth Association in Germany (CYM/SUM) is the oldest active Ukrainian organisation in Germany, founded in 1946 in Augsburg. As a branch of the international CYM, it fosters Ukrainian identity and Christian values and connects generations.
Union of Ukrainian Students in Germany (SUSN)
The Union of Ukrainian Students in Germany (SUSN) has connected Ukrainian students, doctoral candidates and young professionals nationwide since 1949. Politically neutral and non-denominational, it supports members in their studies and integration and makes Ukraine visible within German academia.
