The German-Ukrainian Association “Ukrainians in Karlsruhe” was founded in 2017 and is a member of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Germany. It runs a Ukrainian cultural centre in Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg).
It sees itself as a centre of Ukrainian culture and traditions in the region and promotes cultural and educational relations between Germany and Ukraine. Its offerings include a Ukrainian Saturday school and kindergarten, cultural festivals, concerts and events marking Ukrainian holidays.
A key focus is the integration and social support of refugees, as well as the coordination of donations and relief goods through its own collection points and warehouses.
Since the Russian war of aggression began in 2022, the association has provided extensive humanitarian aid: more than 150 aid transports carrying several hundred tonnes of goods have reached Ukraine, including medical equipment for numerous hospitals, power generators, life-saving medical devices and ambulances.
