Your donation makes a difference

For over three years, Ukrainian civil society in Germany has faced challenges that did not exist before: welcoming people, building organizations, asserting a voice in the German public sphere – all while never losing sight of Ukraine itself. The umbrella organization of Ukrainian organizations in Germany e.V. (DUOD) carries out exactly this work: it consolidates, advises, networks, and represents.

This association work requires a budget, and it is crucial for both – supporting Ukraine and for our work here in Germany. However, it is precisely this work that has been able to benefit little from the great willingness to help Ukraine so far. Donations understandably flow mostly directly into emergency aid on the ground; the structures behind it often remain invisible. And yet, much depends on it.
