München Zur Website

The Union of Ukrainian Students in Germany (SUSN) was founded in 1949 in Bonn, making it one of the oldest Ukrainian organisations in the Federal Republic. Since 1952 it has been based in Munich, where it is entered in the register of associations. SUSN is a founding member of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Germany.

The union sees itself as an open, politically neutral and non-denominational platform for Ukrainian students, doctoral candidates and young people across Germany. Its purpose is to foster understanding between peoples in education, science, culture, youth work, the environment and sport.

Regular activities include sharing information on studies, internships, jobs and housing, intercultural meetings, discussion evenings, conferences, exhibitions and lectures. The union supports members in integrating into German and European society and spreads knowledge about Ukraine.

Since the start of the Russian war of aggression in 2022, SUSN has supported Ukrainian students and refugees who have found shelter in Germany, helping them access education and settle into academic life.
