Nürnberg Zur Website

The Association of Ukrainians in Franconia (Ob’iednannia ukraintsiv u Frankonii) was founded in 2011 as the region’s first Ukrainian association. With centres of activity in Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen, it represents Ukrainians across Franconia and is a member of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Germany.

The association promotes social and cultural dialogue between Ukraine and Germany, supports Ukrainian-language Sunday lessons for children and organises community meetings such as the “Ukraine Treff Erlangen”. It also supports seriously ill Ukrainian children being treated in Germany.

Since the Russian war of aggression began in 2022, the association has provided extensive humanitarian aid: it coordinates aid convoys to Ukraine, collects and distributes medical supplies such as dressings, infusion solutions and tourniquets, and provides tactical protective equipment.

At the same time, the association supports refugees who have come to Germany because of the war, runs support centres and engages in information, volunteer and public-awareness work against the war.
