Ukrainian Women’s Association in Germany

The Ukrainian Women’s Association in Germany has represented the interests of Ukrainian women in Germany since 1946. Active nationwide, it nurtures Ukrainian culture and social causes, works with church communities and other women’s organisations and is a founding member of the DUOD.
The Ukrainian Women’s Association in Germany (Ob’iednannia ukrainskykh zhinok u Nimechchyni, OUZh) was founded in 1946 and celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016. Based in Munich, the association operates nationwide and is a founding member of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Germany.
The association unites and represents Ukrainian women in Germany. It nurtures Ukrainian cultural and social causes and works closely with Ukrainian church communities and other women’s organisations.
Its activities include cultural and social events, networking and public statements on matters concerning the Ukrainian community.
Since the Russian war of aggression began in 2022, the association has publicly advocated for Ukraine’s security and supported the concerns of the Ukrainian community in Germany.
