Ukrainian Association Kempten (Allgäu)

Since 2023, the Ukrainian Association Kempten (Allgäu) has brought Ukrainians in the Allgäu region together. Its Saturday school, info point, library, the ensemble “Kalyna” and talks on life in Germany support integration and keep Ukrainian language and culture alive.
The Ukrainian Association Kempten (Allgäu) was founded on 24 February 2023, is based in Kempten (Bavaria) and has been a member of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Germany since October 2026.
The association promotes the integration of Ukrainians in Germany and cultivates Ukrainian language, culture and traditions. Its activities include a Saturday school, an info point, a library, the ensemble “Kalyna”, the lecture series “Life in Germany”, language courses, a children’s art club, excursions and regular services of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church from Neu-Ulm.
The association is an established part of city life and takes part in events such as the city festival, OstHoch3 and the Allgäu CleanUP Days. In 2025 it received the Swabian Integration Prize (Schwäbischer Integrationspreis). Its motto: “From help grew a community.”
